Here’s an idea. How about extending Solar PV to include Solar Hot Water? I’ve seen some internet DIY people add solar hot water. Also, I happened to read another article that mentioned that Solar PV panels could be made into hybrid systems which include gathering the waste heat from the Solar PV panels to heat hot water for the home. You would probably need only about 2 panels in your total array to provide this capability. I don’t see anyone marketing this idea yet, but maybe that’s an opportunity.
